Polish Aeropress Championship

From 2020, we are responsible for organizing the Polish Aeropress Championships.In the first year, due to the pandemic, we were not able to organize the competition, but it did not stop us from making a great comeback a year later. Aeropress competitions are nothing more than good fun and testing your skills and a chance to meet people as crazy about coffee as we are.2022 and 2023 are the beginning of a new era, we decided to follow the example

from Spain and instead of one competition, first do the qualifying rounds and then the grand final. In 2022 we managed to meetin as many as 7 cities throughout Poland, while in 2023 it will be as many as 14 citieswith qualifying rounds!

The Polish Aeropress Championship involves brewing coffee in the best possible way using a device called AeroPress. It looks a bit like a large syringe and you can brew coffee in it in two ways: the traditional method or the upside down method. This is a device that can be easily taken with you when traveling. With it, we can brew black filtered coffee and an espresso-like infusion.  It is a very versatile device,  will work great  for people who love to experiment.

Until the day of the competition, the participants have no idea what kind of coffee they will brew. Two weeks before the competition, they receive 250 grams of grain on which they can practice. Trying to guess (by brewing) where it comes from and how it was processed. On the day of the eliminations, the competitors receive 18 grams of coffee on which they must start. Most often, after all the starts and just before the winners are announced, a representative of the roastery responsible for roasting the beans talks

about them.

Four participants from each qualifying round advance (1st, 2nd, 3rd place and a wild card), who will later fight in the final for the title of Polish Aeropress Champion. The person who wins receives a trip and the opportunity to participate in the world championships

this year it will take place in Melbourne.

Aeropresses are a great adventure not only for the participants themselves but also for the event hosts. They have the opportunity to test themselves in this role, let their imagination run wild when it comes to attractions and choose the coolest coffee possible. Not to mention the amount of content that can be created around the competition itself. It is a great tool for promoting and spreading knowledge

about your smoking room or café.
